Lyndsey Saunders, B.A. (Hons.), LL.B./B.C.L., M.S.W.
Lyndsey (she/her) is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) who specializes in working with kids and teens struggling with anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, ADHD, self-harm behaviour, mind-body (somatic) issues, interpersonal challenges, and adjustment related difficulties. She also provides parent counselling. She has extensive clinical experience working in schools, youth mental health agencies, and hospitals. Lyndsey has formal training in a range of evidence-based treatments, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). In her therapeutic work, she draws primarily from these modalities, as well as a belief that at our core – no matter what age – we all want to be heard, understood, and unconditionally accepted by those closest to us. Lyndsey holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto and a law degree from McGill University. She has also completed a post-graduate fellowship at the Garry Hurvitz Centre for Community Mental Health. For the past six years, she has worked in the Psychiatry Department at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. |
